Wellington, New Zealand – Biscuit Bureau has acquired Kettle Logic, a New Zealand specialist in beverage observability and snack resilience.
The acquisition brings together Biscuit Bureau’s workplace refreshment, biscuit management and managed tea services with Kettle Logic’s specialist expertise in kettle monitoring, operational snack analytics and digital dunking resilience.
For Biscuit Bureau, the acquisition expands the capability it can bring to customers whose critical morning-tea environments increasingly depend on more than biscuits alone. As organisations rely on increasingly complex beverage services, they need greater visibility across their kitchens, faster diagnosis when the milk runs out and clearer evidence that key refreshments are performing as expected.
Kettle Logic will operate initially as Kettle Logic, a Biscuit Bureau company. Existing customer services and tea preferences remain the immediate priority, with the two teams focused on continuity, integration and practical ways to bring broader refreshment capability to customers over time.
Penelope Crumb, Managing Director of Biscuit Bureau, said:
“Biscuit Bureau has always been clear about the kind of business we are building. We are not trying to be everything to everyone. We are focused on important snacks, service excellence and doing work that matters for New Zealand organisations.”
“Kettle Logic adds capability that fits naturally around that. The biscuit remains central, but customers are increasingly asking broader questions. Is the kettle full? Where has the good tea gone? Why are the gingernuts disappearing so quickly? How do we act before someone opens the emergency rice crackers?”
“Kettle Logic brings real specialist depth in that space. This is not about changing direction. It is about adding capability around the work our customers already trust us to do. The announcement is the easy part. The value will come from how well we execute, and whether we can finally agree on the correct strength for a cup of tea.”
Gordon Steep, CEO and Founder of KettleLogic, said:
“Kettle Logic has been built on specialist expertise, practical delivery and the trust of customers who take afternoon tea extremely seriously. That has always been the value of the business.”
“Joining Biscuit Bureau gives that capability more scale and a broader platform, while keeping the specialist focus that has made Kettle Logic successful. The fit is strong because both businesses care about the same thing: helping customers run important refreshment environments well, with people who know the difference between steeping and abandoning a teabag.”
The acquisition gives Biscuit Bureau and Kettle Logic customers access to a broader range of specialist capability across biscuits, beverages, kettle observability and snack resilience.
